Cardamom and cumin are two spices I swear by in my Ayurveda Kitchen. You need to have these staples as they go into so many dishes. I prefer to have both the seeds and powders as who does not love having options right? And if your digestion is a bit sluggish ( yes I see all you VATA's nodding,) then you can whip up this tea in a manner of minutes. Its a truly digestive hack that tastes delicious! In Ayurveda, your digestive fire is referred to as "Agni" which governs all levels of digestion from the stomach, small intensives, and metabolism.

And its worth remembering that digestion does not just start in your mouth! Yes according to the beautiful science of Ayurveda, digestion is not just the physical breakdown of food but also its transformation on more subtle level, including mental and emotional levels of digestion. Often we are hurriedly eating food whilst replying to emails talking or watching tv. So not creating a mindful and grateful experience, all which affects the rate in which you digest your food. So after each meal , find a quiet spot and sip this tea slowly and mindfully savor the spicy flavors in your mouth. Ponder and focus on your belly and think about how its helping your digestive fire strengthen with every sip.

Here are some of the benefits:

1. Digestive Aid: Both cardamom and cumin possess digestive properties that can help alleviate indigestion, bloating, and gas. They stimulate the secretion of digestive enzymes, which aids in the breakdown of food.

2. Relief from Gas and Bloating: Cumin is especially effective in relieving gas and bloating due to its carminative properties. Cardamom also helps in reducing gas and bloating.

3. Improves Metabolism: The compounds present in cardamom and cumin can help improve metabolism, aiding in weight management and overall energy levels..
